Mark Black is the owner of Landcon, starting the business in May 2006. Mark has over 12 years experience in the concrete industry. He has combined this experience with 2 degrees in Landscape Architecture from QUT. Mark is married to Michelle and currently has 3 boys; Luke, Tom and Ben.

Chris has over 10 years experience in the concrete industry. He started his career in New Zealand, pouring slabs for many of the hotels in Queenstown. He has worked on some of the Sunshine Coasts most recognisable projects including the Maroochydore Road upgrade, the 'Just Benches' faciltity and the Maleny streetscape upgrade.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you stop concrete cracking?

The simple answer is that all concrete cracks; we use our experience and knowledge to control this cracking. By ensuring that expansion joints (cuts in the concrete) are no more than 3 metres apart and off internal corners and penatrations in the concrete, we can ensure that all cracks are hidden neatly in the bottom of these joints. Higher grade concrete and reinforcing also help (Landcon use these as standard in their work).
